Nvidia shareplay3/24/2023 ![]() ![]() The GeForce Experience update is launching in beta sometime in September. Through this menu, users can set up DVR-style recording of the last 20 minutes of play, manually record an entire play session, broadcast the session to Twitch, and initiate a GameStream Co-op session. The upcoming GeForce Experience update will also add a new overlay for video capture and streaming (pictured at top), accessible by pressing Alt+Z. Streaming should work with any game that runs in fullscreen mode with DirectX 9 or higher. On the host side, the required specs are similar, except that Nvidia requires a GeForce GTX 650 or better graphics card (desktop-only for now, with notebook support coming later) and 7 Mbps of upstream bandwidth. (Nvidia recommends an 802.11n 5GHz router or ethernet, along with 7 Mbps of downstream bandwidth.) Just an Intel Core i3-2100, 4GB of RAM, and an 802.11 a/g router should be good enough to receive the stream. But in GameStream’s case, the guest doesn’t even need comparable hardware to participate. I wish I could kill myself instead of using windows (OSX can suck it too). The concept isn’t entirely new, as Sony offers a similar feature called Share Play for Playstation 4 owners. Press it if you just want to share your screen with the other call participants. The only notable requirement is an Internet bandwidth of at least 7 Mbps (upstream) for the host, and 7 Mbps (downstream) for the guest. In the call screen, to the very right, you will find a Screen Share button. The guest PC has even lower system requirements, including not needing any discrete-graphics, and just Google Chrome (the game streams to them as a web-page). You need at least a GeForce GTX 650 graphics card to get started. NVIDIA is planning to get GameStream Co-op into the hands of as many gamers as possible, by the minimum system requirements of the host PC rather low. The way this works is that your systems renders the game, and streams it across the Internet to them. Accessed through its GeForce Experience app, the feature will let you share your game over the Internet with your friend, letting them either take over control (and get you through a level you're stuck with), or play co-op multiplayer with. Thanks to shareplay only the Host needs to own the game and. Even if you dont have an nVidia card or have a weak PC you can still join this group and play games with other users here. I hope this group will make it easy for users who are lookng to play a local co op, or maybe a 2 player game on PC or an emulator etc. It’s basically a hardware-accelerated screen recording service for GeForce GPUs. NVIDIA is giving final touches to a feature that's similar in function to PlayStation 4 SharePlay, called GameStream Co-op. This is a group for people who are looking for other users to Shareplay with. JNVIDIA ShadowPlay is a common term for veteran gamers using NVIDIA GPUs. ![]()
